I made an evening visit, primarily to the scrape, where i saw just 4 Blk Wits.  I followed this by my first visit to Meare Heath Hide for several weeks,  significantly via the newly fenced and now re-opened path , temporary gates have been placed across the north bank of the South Drain to prevent people and the Highlands from coming together. Unfortunately I saw nothing from the hide in the short time I was there but at least you can get there again.
