On Tuesday I was telling my boss(hi Tony), that in 30 years I had never had a reed bunting in the garden despite only being at Roadwater, a few miles from the coast. On Friday I was watching an apparently starving female repeatedly coming to the seed. It soon transpired that there were two females as they appeared together. This morning there is a very smart male with one female and a probable second ‘single’ female. The male did not show at all yesterday. Does anybody think that the female flew back to her usual home and returned with him this morning?
