A juv. Merlin took a male Stonechat just outside Catcott hide this Tues. afternoon. it then did the decent thing carrying it to ground just 15 yards left of the hide,  it then posed for photographs perched on a fence post plucking it before flying off carrying it’s prey. the Merlin missed another poossible target as earlier a Water Pipit was feeding near the hide.
