At 10.55am from Minehead in a WNW Gale i picked up well to the East a Sooty Shearwater heading West for well over 3 minutes Paul Jennings and myself had good views of this terrific bird as it slowly Sheared out of the Channel hardly giving a wing beat in all this time, a very rare visitor for Somerset waters what makes this even more exciting for me is the time of year its here.
Other birds included 7 Red-throated Diver,1 Fulmar and a single harbour Porpoise
