Off Hurlstone this morning:
2 Great Northern Divers flew west;
I Black-throated Diver flew in from the east and landed on the sea just west of the Point;
3 Red-throated Divers - the first of the autumn, numbers should build up from now and peak in mid-December;
1 Great Crested Grebe flew west closely followed by a Bonxie;
5 male Goosanders and then a little later a female flew in the same direction;
3 Little Egrets flew down mid-Channel again to the west;
c20 Auks which were mostly Guillemots;
A Merlin pursuing a small bird, mostly likely a Pipit, came in from across the Channel and continued inland.
A small movement of Siskins along the coast.

In close to the Point 4 Harbour Porpoises feeding actively.
