Immature whooper swan on Noah’s Lake

Two adults and 2 immature whooper on Noah’s this morning. Also 2 Bittern flights seen and a Yellow Browed Warbler in the screen of trees between the drain and the railway line just west of Ashcott Corner.

Two Adult Whooper Swans and one Juv. from Noah’s Hide on Thurs. morning most of the time hidden in the reeds in the far right hand corner (could be more)? Male Marsh Harrier and two Bittern with at least 1000 duck ( majority were Wigeon plus Gadwall, Pintail, Tufted Mallard and Teal with jjust a couple of Shoveller but couldn’t find a Pochard.

Still there today around 12ish
Also a couple of chiffchaffs in the trees near the Ashcott corner car park., a small flock of lesser redpoll upsetting a perched buzzard, , a a peregrine chasing the lapwings opposite the Hawk and Owl reserve

A single adult Whooper Swan, showing on-and-off among the reedy islands on Noah’s lake - looking from the main-track 150m west of the footbridge to Meare Heath hide.

4 Whooper Swans (2 adult, 2 juveniles) on Noahs from the main path today.

Also:
1. Bittern seen flying low in the same area on 3 occasions
2. Pair of Sparrowhawks in what looked like some form of display flight
