At 11.30 a.m. today, another brief visit to the East Myne area and I was surprised to see another raptor flying south into the wind. This time a Red Kite which flew in from the Bristol Channel and continued heading south towards Dunkery.
A brief visit to North Hill this morning produced a juvenile Marsh Harrier which rose above East Myne and then drifted off to the South. There was a large flock in excess of 20 Mistle Thrushes feeding on the rowan berries and a few Blackbirds. There also appeared to be good numbers of Meadow Pipits and Stonechats scattered around the area.
