My last sightings early morning from the old Main Hide (being demolished tomorrow) were: 3 Common Cranes (1+2) and at least 6 Cattle Egrets, but all were distant. Then a Spotted Flycatcher from my car as I drove away along the access drove, about 50mtrs before the road jct.
The hides along other track will still be open. Glossy ibis seen to have moved back to ham wall (although a couple did stop in at greylake)
NOTE: the Catcott Lows hide, adjacent car park and track will be closed from 17th August until 12th October. The Wildlife Trust will be replacing the existing hide with a new one and enlarging the scrape area.
Spotted flycatcher in hedgerow of track leading to the hide, all 3 egret sp, marsh harrier, red kite add 3 buzzards on the lows.
