I have not seen or heard any Yellowhammer on my patch (Butleigh) since my last post. So sad given how common they were here just a few years ago. Still lots of Painted Lady butterflies and a fledged brood of 3 or 4 Blackcap on my walk this morning.
Also, Red Kite over the garden for the third day running.

My first of the year, a male, heard and then seen on Wood Lane, Butleigh. They used to be common here but in recent years I have seen very few.
Have seen many more Whitethroat and Painted Lady butterflies around the village this year than in previous years.
