One reported on Stockmoor Country Park yesterday.
Pendulines were at Shapwick on 3rd & 4th Jan as well.
Interesting to collate this winter’s records of bird(s) , (at least the ones of which I’m aware): Greylake 26-27 Nov ; Shapwick Heath 29-30 Dec; Greylake 10th Jan; Stockmoor CP (Bridgwater)14-19 Jan; Shapwick 17-19 and 22 Jan. Entirely possible that they are a very mobile group, but the two mid-January sightings are concurrent. In 2023 records were Stockland Marsh (WWT Steart) 2-3 Jan; Stockmoor CP 23-27 Jan; Ham Wall 19-24 Feb. One explanation, they were the same birds gradually moving east. Previous to that was a record at Stockland in December 2020. Knowledge of further records would be useful, as would information on how mobile they might be during the winter months.
Shapwick birds are definitely on a circuit, so not there all the time. They have also been occasionally reported at greylake (as well as Aust), so difficult to know how many birds involved
I don’t think it’s been posted on here yet that there are three pendulines on the Meare Marshes part of Shapwick Heath, seen by many. From the eastern end car park walk towards the Tower hide on the main track. Stop by the bench just before hide and look across the drain to the pools and scattered reedbeds on your right. I last saw them yesterday, feeding on reedmace heads in front of a fairly obvious large lone willow towards back of reedbed. Several 100m away so a scope pretty essential. Hope this link works to show the general area: https://maps.app.goo.gl/mLQjgQbhC32GALzB7
That’s good. I saw & filmed a 1stW Penduline Tit on Stockmoor Pools adj to Stockmoor Village 25-Jan-2023.
1 seen 14th to 19th on Stockmoor Country Park.

Greylake RSPB: Walked into the hide at 10:15 & they were watching 2 Penduline Tits! On view for c.30 mins then flew deeper into the reeds. No further sign by 11:40. Video still-frame photo & a short video-clip on my “X” (Twitter) Jeff Hazell @Levelsbirder account.
