Today - 2 whoopers, little stint, curlew sand, golden plover. Sean found the rcp this morning too. Also common snipe, ruff, dunlin, ringed plovers and great egrets
1 curlew sandpiper (since yesterday), 2 little stints, 2 blackwits & 1 Sanderling this morning, amongst the more regular snipe, ruff, Dunlin and ringed plovers, also wood sandpiper
The Leach’s storm petrel at Cheddar Reservoir was close in on the west side this afternoon

Teminicks and 4 Little Stints still, plus Wood Sandpiper, Grey Plover, 15 Dunlin, 3 Ruff 6 Ringed Plovers and 8 Snipes. A Peregrine caused a bit of a panic and a Red Kite flow over. Also a group of 12 Linnet’s
Plus 3 or 4 little stint, 3 shelduck and a grey plover, last couple of days
9 Common Snipe, Temminck’s Stint, Wood Sandpiper, Dunlin, Ruff, Ringed Plover, all quite close to the Cheddar Tower at the south east aspect of the reservoir this morning
Also one Wheatear this afternoon in front of the Sailing Club
Phalaropes and curlew sandpipers gone, but shelduck, avocet and 3 lapwings fresh in, plus a new little stint this morning and wood sandpiper in afternoon (mostly found by Sean)
Black swan seems to have departed before cold NE wind. Sean found a garganey today. Most waders still present, apart from blackwit and little stint (no terns)

5 Glossy Ibis, 1 Red-necked & 3 Grey Phalaropes, Several Curlew Sandpipers this afternoon at 16:15.
& now a red necked phalarope, as well as the 3 greys - but only one grey isn’t always at long range… Definitely common tern with one black still present.

Cheddar was excellent today with 3 Grey Phalaropes, 15 Curlew Sandpipers, 2 Little Stints, 2 Knot, 20 Ringed Plovers, Dunlins, Common Sandpipers, BLK T Godwit, 2 Black Tern and Artic Tern, 3 Glossy Ibis’s, Spotted Flycatcher in trees near the yachting club and l think there was a male Lesser Scaup which appeared to be coming out of eclipse and was to far away to get a photo and l wondered if this was the same bird seen recently?
