No curlew sandpiper this morning among the many ringed plover and dunlin today. 4 knot and a few turnstones. A juvenile peregrine had a go at the flock, and later was sat on Stert island with a meal. Biggest surprise was a Manx shearwater very close in around the river mouth.
26/08 Stert Point on a falling tide: one juv. Curlew Sandpiper with at least 500 mixed small waders, including Ringed Plover, Dunlin, Knot & Sanderling. At least 6,000 Shelduck (c. 2,000 at sea appearing flightless ).
