Single White Stork circling over Bradford-on -Tone this morning at 11.15am
Another bird seen at topsham has yellow ring CV42, which cove valley confirmed as one of their releases, so presumably the two numbers on blue are from Dayshul Brake (other side of Tiverton).
GBS4 is apparently now in Cornwall, so may have been individual seen at powderham, Exeter recently:

UPDATE: photo is a different bird (45), whilst robin’s pic looks like 70. Replies to his Twitter post suggest they are both introduced birds bred in Cornwall. GBS4 was actually born at Cotswold wildlife park and released at knepp in 2024.
Robin, looks like your stork is now in north Devon:

As with the west Somerset turtle doves, they were less than 10 miles from Cove release site.
The high ham bird in may wasn’t ringed (others listed below couldn’t see upper leg, apart from one at dunster). Currently one near langport that appears to be GBS4, born at knepp last summer and seen at blithfield reservoir that September and apparently France in the winter.
Four White Storks photographed flying over Waterrow, yesterday afternoon (25Jul25) in cloudless sky (from Cove direction, circling round and returning in direction of Cove).
Interesting, as page says Portuguese birds have black lettering, but dark blue rings usually have white (which this bird does). Tiverton however is a lot closer (couldn’t see any rings on release videos, but not really good enough quality)
It was also reported circling with gulls over Tesco Minehead at 10am today
I came across a White Stock in a field near Dunster yesterday afternoon. It had blue leg rings but almost impossible to read due to the heat haze, so I just dismissed it as a Knepp project bird. However, closer inspection of my images shows that the leg rings are two letters/numbers which would rule out Knepp.
I do not know what if any rings the Tiverton birds would have but the on-line ringing information could point to a bird ringed in Portugal. Therefore it might be a true wild bird.

Where have they been in-between? Note at least 14 have been released near Tiverton (2 sites) during may / june, but no reason to suppose they have left Devon yet
