With an unpromising weather forecast we gathered for what was a dry morning’s walk around the lakes, beach, woods and marsh at Dunster beach. A total of 36 species were seen. The highlights seen were 4 Common Sandpipers, 12 Yellow Flavissima Wagtails, and singing Reed Warblers freshly arrived on site. It was a delight to hear the singing resident birds signalling that the breeding season is underway.

This weeks change in weather has brought with it a surge of migratory birds to Dunster Beach. Some are passing through and some are here to breed. Never too sure what there will be to see. So why not join us at 9am this Saturday in the Beach car park, TA24 6TH and see what has arrived overnight.
