There were only 3 Black Terns when I visited on Monday but there was a significant passage of well over 500 Sand Martins around the lake.

6 juv Black Terns at Long Drove Pit, Sharpham this late afternoon. Originally posted on BirdGuides as 5 juv Black & 1 juv White-winged Tern, but consensus of all observers there is that it is a pale-winged juv Black Tern, presumably the one that was at Shapwick a few days ago.
