Walked over from Wellington this morning. Showed well in trees at Coopers Heights behind the houses on the left at 10.55.
Still present today and gradually looking a bit smarter.
Photographed there today, so I spoke too soon, it’s starting to develop a black head
That may have been the last sighting, it was looked for, but not seen on Sunday and Tuesday, with no reports from Monday
Rosy Starling still present early Morning at Coopers Heights. The 278th bird for my Somerset List. My target for the Year being 2 ‘New’ Birds for my County List. A good start to 2023!
Seems there is also an adult in someone’s garden elsewhere in the county (2nd hand UK bird ID post on Facebook yesterday) Update - Glastonbury / Street area
Rose coloured Starling still present this pm in its favourite bush at the top of Coopers heights , both Black Redstart still at Manor Farm
Dipper on the stream on Grants Lane and a small number of Lapwing
From yesterday 25th large flocks of Lapwing (well in excess of 70 ) also Redwing and Fieldfare in large numbers
Dipper and Grey Wagtail along Hillfarrence brook
