5 Goosanders (2 drakes) on the small lake at Chipley Park this afternoon.

A pair of goosander on the lake near Chipley this afternoon, with a small flock of siskins nearby and plenty of winter thrushes.

Amazing to hear all this Stephen. I’ve been away so hopefully I’ll catch a little of this soon….

Over 90 Lapwings seen locally north of Wellington today mainly flying west in small groups but 41 were feeding in fields north of the river Tone between Tonedale & Nynehead Court. Also 2 Green Sandpipers & 2 Teal in the river. Snipe seen flying at Nynehead & Chipley. Lots of Fieldfares & Redwings with over a 100 Fieldfares feeding on windfall apples in Nynehead. Best of all 2 patch ticks with 2 Golden Plovers in a stubble field south of Langford Budville & a Cattle Egret only a few 100 meters from home near Five Houses, (Tonedale)
