Great list Phil. I was on the Huntspill side at around the same time (low tide) and saw 4+ Yellow Wagtails, 2 Whinchat, 2 Stonechat, 2 Wheatear and a number of Meadow Pipit and Pied Wagtails. From the sluice itself I saw at least 50 Avocet flying up the Parrett river, several Redshank and Curlew but no small waders.

On an outstanding morning at Steart NNR:

1 Wryneck at 08.05 on top of bramble bushes (51.216023, -3.028654) by cattle trough just through gate below Tower Hide.  Camera became unfocussed and when it re-focussed bird was gone.  Searched for 30 mins to no avail.

1 Little Bunting at c. 08.45 on fence (51.215380, -3.029848) at base of flood embankment between end of lane and riverbank footpath.  Bird appeared between 2 Lesser Whitethroats for c. 20 sec, then flew into adjacent field and landed amongst thistles (51.215063, -3.030052).  Despite searching for c. 1 hour, I could not relocate it, nor the 2 LW and Wheatear it was with.  Many of the migrants were mobile so that by 09.45 most of the following list seemed to have moved on.

Also present:

Reed Warbler, 2
Swallow, c.50
Willow Warbler, 2
Chiffchaff, 2
Long-tailed Tit, 4
Blackcap, 2 m
Lesser Whitethroat, 2
Whitethroat, 3
Whinchat, c.6
Stonechat, c.15
Wheatear, 1
Meadow Pipit, c.5
Yellow Wagtail, 3
Greenfinch, c.10
Linnet, c.20
Goldfinch, c.50
Reed Bunting, 2 f

Good luck to any who come to try and re-find these.

Phil.
