There’s been a Red Kite here for the past week or two but today there are 6 in a group over Bye Hill, Winsford, scanning the recently cut bracken and enjoying the thermals

Two Red Kites circling above fields on the southern boundary of Crewkerne at 11.10am this morning.
The birds gaining height and drifting northwest.
Both birds had an inner primary missing on each wing.
An excellent day on Exmoor once the weather had cleared, the highlights being -:
Dunkery Area - N West side & Aller Combe: 2 Whinchats, 2 Grasshopper Warblers, 4 Stonechats, 3 Cuckoos and a Dartford Warbler.
Stoke Pero Common: 1 Red Kite flew over road.
Chetsford Water: 5 Whinchats, 3 Stonechats, 5 Grey Wagtails, 2 Redstarts and a Cuckoo.
Wilmersham: 1 Hobby.
Horner Wood from Pool Bridge: 9 Pied Flyctachers (8m:1f), 1 Redstart, 2 Wood Warblers, 2 Dippers and 2 Grey Wagtails.
