Saw my first definite of the season this week as well, down near the River Tone at Runnington, exactly the same place I saw my first one last year.
There was a possible last week at Langford Heathfield but it was a fleeting view, this week’s was definite, was watching it for a while.

A male Blackcap on my garden feeder today is the first I have seen there since the autumn. Is it an overwintering bird or a new arrival? I don’t expect it to sing in the current weather.
