I counted 360 this afternoon, with at least 5 little egrets & a couple of grey heron, somebody else 370 (on both sides of road). Also 2 great & a little, with another heron opposite the turning to tealham, plus the usual great & two more herons on tealham itself.

Huge flock of c.330 Cattle Egrets this morning, spread out over 2 roadside fields opposite Blakeway Farm on B3151 south of Mudgley - amazing sight!

304 Cattle Egrets in a flock this morning just off the B3151 near Blakeway Farm.

Red kites have been a daily occurrence over Coleford for a few years. I rarely think about recording their presence, At least 3 nests this year on the edges of Coleford. Outcomes unknown due to the end of furlough, family commitments/work patterns and the weather.

I didn’t see any in this particular location this morning but nearby there were 76 Cattle Egret in a single field at the junction of North Chine Drove and Lewis’s Drove, another 124 in a loose flock over 3 fields north of North Chine Drove just east of the end of London Drove, a further 125 just south of Blakeway Farm in a single field on the east side of the B3151, then later 2 along Sharpham Lane, nr Walton. A total of 327 on the Avalon Marshes today and numbers seem to be building.

Approx 220 cattle egrets on Tilleys Moor on Levels on Torr side of road behind farm buildings at 51.203265,-2.746625 mixed with gulls.
