Cliff,
I am not sure the Openspace itself has a postcode, but there is a Tesco express nearby where you can park. Address is The Forum Abbey Manor Park, Yeovil, Somerset BA21 3TL.
From the Tesco express store walk to the zebra crossing almost immediately opposite and cross Stourton Way, then proceed down a couple of flights of steps between the houses. At the bottom there is a general open area with a stream running through. turn left and walk along the path that runs alongside the stream. there are two footbridges that cross the stream and the YBW usually frequent the trees by the stream between the two bridges, often crossing to the rough patch of trees and brambles to the left of the path as you walk up the stream.
Does anyone have a post code for open space, I’ve tried googling it and I don’t know Yeovil well

Both YBW still present yesterday morning (20-Dec)and also a Sibe Chiifchaff. Good to meet up with Oli on his good local patch.
2 YBW still present this morning between the 2 bridges and showing well between 0800-0900hrs at least, but no sign of the firecrest.
Hi Oli,
Yes indeed, the Firecrest was in the rough patch on the western side of the stream between the bridges with the warblers and tits. Showing down to four foot at times.
Thanks Tim, will have a look tomorrow morning then.

Both YBW still present early pm on 18 Dec, one of which was rather vocal. At least one Sibe CC present and was calling constantly, responding to tristis recordings…a real belter. A second possible Sibe CC also present. Managed to locate a Firecrest as well today, plus at least three nominate Chiffchaff, five Goldcrest and a good number of other birds.
Well done on the Firecrest Tim! I assume it was also between the two bridges? as this would be a patch tick for me.

2 YBW showing well between the 2 bridges with at least 3 Goldcrest between 0800 and 1020hrs at least. Also a calling Siberian Chiffchaff in the vegetation on the west side of the stream at 1015hrs. Also of note were flyover Siskin and Cormorant, 2 Bullfinches and a Grey Wagtail.
At least one YBW still present up to 1550 hrs tonight with 2 goldcrest between the 2 bridges showing well. Also 1 grey wagtail on the stream.
Yellow browed showing between the two bribges at Yeovil Openspace mid morning 17th as per Richard Eagles and Alan Pimbley.
2 Yellow-Browed Warblers calling and showing very well (though mobile) today at Yeovil Openspace. The birds were loosly associtaing with tit/goldcrest flock. I guess they are likely to hang around for a while, so anyone wanting to see them should park in Abbey Manor near the ‘Arrow’ Pub. Walk east over the zebra crossing on Stourton Way then follow the steps down. The birds were in the row of willow’s along the river straight ahead.
