The usual field at 7.15 this morning had just 3 Ringed Plover, Skylarks and Meadow Pipits but I then moved to the cross drove where I saw one Yellow Wagtail, 2 male Whinchats (first of the year for me), singing Sedge warblers and Reed Buntings, Little Egrets and back along the road towards Westhay, around 40 Cattle Egrets.
This afternoon on Tealham Moor whilst looking for Yellow Wagtails I was shown a Wood Sandpiper by two keen eyed spotters, also five Ringed Plovers. Many thanks ladies.
Some record photos taken at considerable distance.

Just the one Yellow Wagtail seen today between Rattling Bow Bridge and the bend spending most of his time picking off bits in the road and residing in the adjacent field. I believe this is the same bird I saw twice last week in same location doing the same thing. Some photo’s taken today.

One Male Yellow Wagtail perched on a gate post alongside the minor road, Tealham side.ST410450 about 10.10am today. Shortly after disappearing into the grass. Numerous Skylark songs, otherwise quite on the migrant.
Two smart looking male Yellow Wagtails on the usual flooded field on Tealham this morning.
