12:15 Kestrel flushed 2 groups of Common Snipe. One Group of 12 and a second group of 11 all up at the same time flying around in circles in a frenzy.

Gave up in very early hours of the morning looking for Comet Neowise, went onto Jack’s Drove. I was parked by the gate that has a recent sign saying “no parking”. Five flew over and landed by the Gate further back (about 100ft away) where I took the photo a few weeks back. Too dark to get a photo.

Watching Skylarks at Jack’s Drove, Tealham Moor early this morning and all of a sudden the cows flushed 7 Common Snipe, they took off but landed only 50 metres away in the same field. I waited for them to be flushed again in readiness for a flight shot and then different cows in the other direction flushed 3 more. This time one of them landed on a gate post where he stood for a few minutes. I managed to get some photo’s. I saw 10 for sure but could hear others calling/drumming. A few photo’s below.
