Still present, and now into its third week and no further forward with reading its rings, right leg appears to have ‘red/yellow/orange’ but against red legs! Even the black/blue/black are difficult to discern. Its certainly finding plenty of frogs to eat.

Ooops! apologies, its one of Knepp Estate reintroduction birds, was convinced it was not ringed on Sunday but today it walked towards us and could see (just!) the Blk/Blu/Blk rings with white numerals on the right leg, I think the UK drew the short straw when it was allocated those colours. The Cranes are similarly marked and can be difficult.
More powerful telescope on the wish list if ever we are allowed out again.

Wet Moor this morning and since Thursday, tatty primaries and unringed, so presumably a genuine vagrant.
