Back on King Sedge Moor again today. A sighting of the cuckoo much nearer to the road, calling and then mobbed by crows. Lovely views of Sedge Warblers, a real treat.
Cuckoo singing in Chipstable, 1730h this afternoon (21Apr20).
For about three minutes. That’s all we ever get here.
But what joy! Fourth time in 21 years.
Following the new CPS guidance allowing short drives to exercise, provided me with an opportunity to have a walk at King Sedgemoor this afternoon [18/04]. Absolutely delighted to hear my first cuckoo north towards Ashcott. On return a whimbrel flew over the main road at Seven Bends.
