A quiet morning so not much to report, the G-c-Grebes had a fight with a Coot for possession of their nest site, Marsh Harrier perched on a tree stump, but my vote goes to a pair of Gadwall, the Drake a very handsome fellow.

Bittern starting to boom, left hand side of the hide, soon after it flew of towa\rds Daggs Lane drove,

14/02/2020 Beautiful calm and peaceful morning along London Drove. Highlights were:

Two displaying and calling Marsh Harriers

30 acres:
2 M and 2F Goosanders
3 pairs of Pintail
3 GWE

North Hide: (Note water level seems high and Denis hasn’t visited yet!)
Bearded Reedlings
A male Goosander that landed right in front of the hide only to take off a few minutes later heading for 30 acres I think
Pair of GC Grebes, asleep for 4 hours !
Water Rail
Gadwall coming and going all morning
Marsh Harrier in close
2 male Tufted duck
Little Grebes running from one side to the other.

Lake Hide:
Very Quiet

Tower Hide on the way back to the car park.
The sound of Bearded Reedlings pinging away.
