Black Redstart still present in the Cove, often high up on the cliff face. Also flock of about 100 Sanderling on the beach , fortunately undisturbed by dogs whilst I was there.

Immature, presumed 1st-winter male, Black Redstart feeding high up on the steep grass-strewn slope of the cliff-face behind the boulders in Brean Down Cove this afternoon. Also 2 Rock Pipits feeding on the tide-line wrack. For photos click on the links below…

One has been present since last week of Dec, but not seen by me in an hours search on Jan 2nd.
