No sign of your owl this evening. However had to tell you that within minutes of you leaving the hide today this harrier flew right up dropped down in front and flew off with this reed.

A Barn Owl on Shapwick Heath hunting alongside Noah’s Lake at 0530 this morning, it dropped onto prey 10 yards from me, while I was participating in the annual Avalon Marshes ‘Booming Bittern’ count.  One of the only two days in the year that i’m up and about at that hour!
