I have been watching the Black Swans at Harters Hill and I have convinced myself that they have nested. Surely far too early? (comments appreciated). Unfortunately due to recent ditching ops the ‘nest’ has been obscured from the viewpoint I’ve been using (re: Google Maps: junction of Pillmoor Drove, Bourtonbridge Drove and Short Drove Rhyne) but one of the pair was in position and making nest tending movements on Monday.
