There were 17 Little and 14 Cattle Egrets present at 11:15am as I drove through, although they had departed on my return later on. No sign of the Glossy though.

An hour spent scanning the Moor from 15:00 to 16:00 didn’t turn up our hoped for Hen Harrier or SE Owl, but a fast fly-thro’ juv/fem Merlin was good to see.

No sign of any Cattle Egrets in wet fields alongside the Westhay to Burtle road, earlier this afternoon, only 15 Little Egrets. Yesterday there was 25 Cattle Egrets, 22 Little Egrets and a Glossy Ibis - sorry for this late posting.
