Finally all 10 Whooper Swans together on floodwater between New Bridge and Hook Bridge .Also at least 1 Egyptian Goose plus the Short -eared Owl hunting the river bank still,and a Peregrine as well .
Flooding now more extensive on Curry Moor.
6 Whoopers present today in roadside field between New Bridge and North Curry, was not able to locate the other two. Terrific sound from these birds.

All 8 Whoopers present today ,6 in roadside field between New Bridge and North Curry and 2 on the main area of floodwater.Flooding much more extensive today ,stretching virtually the entire length of the moor and the river is still pouring over its banks .Good variety of wildfowl -Shelduck,Wigeon Teal,Shoveler,Tufted Duck ,Pintail,Gadwall etc but still only in small numbers.Others included 8 Buzzards,3 Kestrels ,6 Stonechats and thousands of Starlings.

5 Whooper Swans (3 ads & 2 juvs) still, on flooded fields between New Bridge Sluice and North Curry this early-afternoon.
Extensive flooding this morning, river pouring over banks onto moor.Eight Whooper Swans still present, in field between New Bridge sluice and North Curry, giving good views. Floodwater around Hook Bridge already pulling in wildfowl. 230+ Canada Geese, 120 Mutes, 50 Wigeon, plus small numbers of Shelduck, Shoveler, Teal and Tufted Duck. Thousands of Starlings feeding on the moor proving attractive to a Peregrine.
