A Grey Plover in summer plumage on the Lows around 1130 this morning only the second of this species I’ve seen here!  plus the three Garganey as per Alison’s report yesterday, unfortunately no sign of anything smaller.

This evening there were three Garganey, 2m &1f; (2 drakes reported earlier) and also two Stints with two Ringed Plover. These four weren’t very close and feeding among the vegetation   and I couldn’t be sure what species the Stints were but did have Temmincks in mind as a possibility.  I left the hide as I had no phone signal nor a camera or notebook on me and unfortunately when I returned I was unable to relocate them, a Marsh Harrier was about so they had probably all departed.

Three Little Ringed Plover were in front of the hide early afternoon , otherwise only a few Mallard and Gadwall, just one Lapwing seen and 35 Greylags with at least two broods and seven Little Egret in the wet area to the right of the hide A cuckoo was heard briefly in from the fen area.
Driving back to Burtle there were two Cattle Egret in a field feeding among the Longhorn cattle.
