Greenfinch numbers have built steadily through the winter and are still around here south of Taunton.
I have recently acquired a smart pair of Siskins.
We have at least 4 male and 3 female Siskins on our feeders at North Perrott.. they appeared around two weeks ago and are seen anytime throughout the day.
We moved to Somerset 18 months ago and these are the first ones I’ve seen in England but strangely in that time we’ve not seen or heard any Greenfinch, we are very rural so it does seem strange not to have any around.
Female Siskin here south of Taunton, on sunflower feeders for couple of days - first of winter!
Also, same scenario for a Male Lesser Redpoll - nice bonus.
Male Siskin in my Westonzoyland garden this morning, first I’d seen in my garden for 10 years!

A pair of siskins on my garden feeder in Litton this morning. The first I have seen here for several years.
