Event Details - Get Directions on Google Maps
Our first Members' Day of 2021 will take the form of a Zoom event and will be held in the afternoon of Saturday 27th March. We can now give details about some of our speakers.
One of them will be James Lowen, award-winning author and photographer specialising in natural history, conservation and travel. He will give a talk entitled "Tango Birding in Argentina - From the Andes to the Atlantic". James draws on three years of living and birding in Argentina to guide you around the entire of South America's second-biggest country. From the Andes to the Atlantic Ocean, and from the mighty, jungle-shrouded waterfalls of Iguazú to the remoteness of Tierra del Fuego, we voyage in search of the mythical Hooded Grebe, swarms of glittering hummingbirds and the gargantuan Greater Rhea.
We will also have a talk by Mya Bambrick, young birder, wildlife photographer, bird ringer, vlogger and ambassador for the Cameron Bespolka Trust, the aim of which is to inspire and get young people involved in nature. Mya will talk about the work of the Trust and getting young people involved in nature.
Full programme details will be posted in due course. If you are a Member and wish to register for the event, please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
