Red Kites
Saw a Red Kite along the A39 to the North East of Chewton Mendip on Monday 2nd July at approximately 4.30 pm.
Saw a red kite on 29th June in Hare Lane near Broadway & Horton
Red Kite over house in Haybridge at 17.15. Very low. Heading west.
Been looking for one around here for years, then right over the house. Amazing what you see on your own doorstep.
One Red Kite very low and heading N over my garden in Spaxton at 10am.
Last year I saw two kites at Longleat, along with several ravens, taking an interest in the meat thrown out for the lions. With such a ready food source just over the country boundary, I am sure they must be frequent at the eastern edge Somerset.
A pair of Red Kites flying low at the roadside going through the village of Dean on my way to Center Parcs. No pics sadly :-(
Got some Badgers at Center Parcs though!
