Last of the lowland breeding wader surveys for this site and still not exactly brimming with breeding birds! However, a drumming Snipe for several minutes plus other flushed Snipe, was a bonus. Plenty of Skylarks in the centre and booming Bitterns to the south and west of the site. Water levels are very high and the dense high vegetation only benefits the plentiful numbers of breeding Reed Buntings.
