My first Crane sighting of the year was a very good view of 27+ Common Cranes from the red brick railway bridge at West Sedgemoor this morning. They were feeding on some cultivated land close to the River Parrett. Also my first singing Whitethroat and a singing Sedge Warbler were close to the bridge, so well worth a quick stop.
