The drake Green-winged Teal still present this morning to the left of the raised hide. It was flushed twice by vehicles but returned to this area each time after a couple of circuits of the reserve.

I see from several Twitter accounts that the Green Winged Teal was seen by quite a few observers throughout the day at Greylake - up until 16:45 at least.  It would be well worth looking for tomorrow - it seems to favour the patch of water on the far left as seen from the raised hide. The lower hide doesn’t really give observers the height to see over the reed remnants that obscure many of the dabbling ducks. Good luck if looking for it.

The Green Winged Teal that has been seen intermittently at Greylake during Feb, was showing very well this morning.  Although distant, it slept for a while out in the open giving views unencumbered by reeds. At one point, when 90% of the dabbling ducks were put to flight by a hunting female Marsh Harrier, the teal remained out in the open alone !
