The Glaucous gull came into roost tonight at 16.25 much closer than last week giving better views and i now age it a a 2cy bird but after less than 10 minutes was once again it lost to view with the fading light and bird numbers increasing all the while even though 2 more observers Roger M and Paul J were present we could not re locate it

A 1st w Glaucous Gull came into roost at 16.15 this evening at Wimbleball res viewed from the sailing club starting hut it was eventually lost to view when it left the reservoir and settled on the bank amongst other gulls other birds present included male Goldeneye female Goosander 3 Pochard 8 Tufted duck and 20 Cormorants
