Adult Whooper still present this morning, to the far right looking out of the car park hide, feeding on the grassy edge of the shallows.

A trip to Catcott on a drizzly damp Monday morning and there right behind the Catcott reserve notice at 25 yds was a Whooper Swan.It was unmoved by my vehicle’s presence and 2 subsequent ones in the next hour. Remarkably it stayed put even when the strangest thing I’ve yet seen a Catcott happened . An ambulance with Blue lights on drove up into the hide car park, when questioned the young lady co pilot said ” Our Sat Nav’s gone mad”. The bird was still present when I left at 1500hrs.
