Still large flocks of Lapwing and Golden Plover viewed from blind mans sluice plus a single Black tailed Godwit. From Greylake hide, 2 Marsh Harriers were patrolling continuously for 20 minutes keeping other birds on the hop. Some Snipe flew away into the distance but the duck species just flew around and landed behind the Harriers.

Good numbers of plovers seen during this mornings WeBs count with 4500 Golden plover and 2700 Lapwing. Plus similar number of GPs reported over at Greylake.

The sound of 1000 plus flock of Golden plover going over head calling was a fantastic spectacle for a monday morning.
