Following several foggy mornings, todays clear skies saw the now annual movement of continental/Scandinavian Woodpigeons begin . From 0700—0900, c1500 pigeons passed over Wellington Monument going in a S-SW direction. Many small flocks of 20-30, the largest c300. Presumably much larger numbers must be crossing the county as this morning c130,000 were counted flying over Cardiff heading our way !!.
