A ring-tail Hen Harrier seen this morning at Sampford Point on the Blackdowns, was being given a hard time by a flock of Ravens !.
Caught a glimpse of a female Hen Harrier on Withycombe common last Saturday the 29th, on Monday it was kind enough to fly right in front of me at a similar place in the fog confirming a nice ring tail. I saw it again working a hedge to the south of the common on Wednesday. Nothing since except hundreds of Fieldfares chuckchucking around the common and over Dumbledeer, together with many Redwings. Even more than last year at the same time.
