That report seems to have been erroneous. It should have referred to a similarly named farm near West Harptree (see Avon Birds).
The area was shrouded in thick fog this morning!
Possibly still around ,reported on Rare Bird Alert as seen today near Beaconsfield Farm ,Easton ,2 miles west of Wells.
No sign around Blackdown from mid-morning through till around 2pm: I understand that the last sighting of it up there was flying southwest from Tynings Farm at about 9.40.

This juv White-tailed Eagle was located by Brian Gibbs & Roger Musgrove on Black Down (Mendip Hills) from the roadside near Tynings Farm, when it was spotted perched up in distant hedgerow. It then flew eastwards just below the top of the down and was eventually relocated in a beach tree where it was seen by some of us who had been out searching for it. It then flew off the Down, roughly southwards in the direction of G B Gruffy NR and was lost from sight below the intervening tree-line at about 16:30 hrs.
Reported half an hour ago on Twitter that the bird had been relocated on Blackdown above Tynings Farm
White Tailed Eagle seen at Blagdon today now in Somerset on Blackdown.
