Between 0825 and 1200 c800 Chaffinches flew east, mainly in flocks of c.20-30. Several Blackbirds were present amongst the Chaffinch flocks going over and were presumably migrants. Robins were also very conspicuous , every bush seemingly having one . final count was 45. A late Hobby was presumably taking advantage of the numerous finches/thrushes which were on the move. Large areas of coastal scrub , which are favoured by migrants, was today being strimmed / ripped out to make way for a new coastal path.
