My 3-min video of the two Glossy Ibis on Meare Heath Scrape can be seen here (adjust to HD 720p, no sound): https://youtu.be/BKBOmxlxfUc
The Two Glossies were both visible from VP2 midday as were Two Greensands a couple of Hobbies mostly south over Street Heath wooded area they like their food sources got up late due to the low temperature this morning. A Little Bittern was also heard still shouting away, perhaps it lacks a friend!
A single Common Tern passed by heading east over Loxton’s , I had seen one an hour earlier it was over the scrape on Meare Heath so possibly the same bird.
One Ibis flew in to the area in front of Ham Wall VP2 at 07.45 but landed out of sight. Also present, one Green Sandpiper, 2 Snipe disturbed by a Marsh Harrier pass, a Cuckoo still calling and 3 GWE. A family of Bullfinch flew over near the bridge back to the car park.
Still 2 Glossy Ibis off VP2 Ham Wall yesterday p.m. with passing G.W.Egrets, Marsh Harriers and Bitterns.
The Two Glossy Ibis were in view together on Ham Wall from the blinds just east of the the path to the Avalon Hide and also from VP2 from 1300 until 1530 today (Mon).
Shapwick Heath Friday June 17, two Glossy Ibis flew into roost together towards Noahs Lake
