3 Ruff and 5 Black tail Godwits yesterday.

Just 2 Ruff, 2 Black-tailed Godwits ,a single Greenshank and Green Sandpiper - with the continuing low water level , turning out to be a disappointing wader passage in terms of numbers and species .However with an influx of American waders to the south-west -Short-billed Dowitcher , several Lesser Yellowlegs, Baird’s Sandpipers and numerous Pectoral and Buff-breasted Sandpipers there is still a chance !, for something rare to turn up .

4 Green Sandpipers, 2 Black-tailed Godwits, 7 Common Sandpipers at west end today. Possible Greenshank heard but called just once and not seen. One Greylag Goose with the Canadas.

No real change in waders, just Common/Green Sandpipers and a Greenshank . Slightly worrying ,the fact that are at least 6 dead birds floating at the west end , including Teal , a gull sp and a possible grebe .

A Little Ringed Plover new in this morning (20/8), also a flock of 18 Common Terns , which flew off west at 08:30.

Low water level resulting in good wader passage over last week .As well as Common Sandpiper , up to 13 Green Sandpipers , 4 Greenshank , 2 Black-tailed Godwits, 2 Snipe and a Ruff . Also today 6 Cattle Egrets including a black billed juvenile .
