One regularly present around Butleigh from about October until a few weeks ago. Mostly seen off Wood Lane preying on Woodpigeons flushed from fallow fields.

Since you mention other birds, it may be relevant to mention that a Peregrine has been hunting all winter, over Chipstable and surrounds, seen as recently as 10th March (at sunset).
Brief update - First Egg laid on 18th March. Previous adults still in place.

I’m doing a talk on the success of this pair of Peregrines since they arrived in 2017 on Tuesday 24th March in the Minster at 4pm if anyone is interested.

There has been a single bird hunting on the flooded fields between Muchelney and Midelney for most of the winter.
Greylake has had an active Peregrine (1yr female) regularly hunting the teal close to the main hide for the last few weeks.
