First winter Grey Phalarope showed very well this morning to east of breach. From north end of boardwalk walk west to last broken down wall before breach. Bird was favouring area 400 yards past here towards breach, either by large pool to left of footpath or muddy footpath immediately beyond pool. Best to approach slowly as bird when disturbed would shelter close in to bank at far side of pool and not immediately visible.
Other birds recorded: male Merlin, adult Med Gull, 22 Ringed Plover, 10 Dunlin, 1 Whimbrel, a freshly dead Shag, 5 Wheatears,4 Teal.
